Marc Bertino has been the Managing Director, Trading & Offset since September of 2012. Marc has a wealth of managerial experience and functional expertise in areas including
executive P&L leadership, business development , operations management , and strategic sourcing. He is a graduate of GE’s Manufacturing, Management Program and has been with GE for more than 24 years. He has held positions in GE Aerospace, GE Aircraft Engines, GE Power Systems, GE Industrial Systems, GE Supply, and GE Corporate. Marc was also the CEO of General Displays and Technologies, a GE joint venture company.
In his current position, Marc is responsible for managing and fulfilling GE’s global offset obligations and assisting GE’s sales efforts through entrepreneurial deal originations. His team focuses on fulfilling offset obligations by working closely with both the GE businesses and Trading & Offset’s external global partners to define and execute projects that benefit our offset countries and GE.
In his last position, Marc was the Vice President of Strategy & Global Business Development at GE Licensing. He was responsible for formulating and executing GE Licensing’s global strategy for technology and trademark licensing. This included developing long-term growth strategies, determining business models and deal structures, choosing markets and technologies, selecting licensees and partners, and leading the deal process and negotiations to completion.
Marc attended Drexel University where he earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and later earned his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
